Troubleshooting & Support
- From the Optimum Stream home screen, go to Settings
- Select Device Preferences
- Select Reboot (at the bottom)
If you attempted to watch a channel and you encountered a black screen, please do the following:
- Exit the player by pressing the Back button
- Select Watch from the details page or Guide
If this does not work, press Home to return to the Optimum Stream home screen. Select the Optimum TV app and try again. If you continue to experience this issue after verifying the steps above, please chat with us.
Follow the steps below to first check your Internet connection, clear the data and cache, then check for updates. If the problem continues, restart your device.
Check your Internet connection:
- From the Optimum Stream home screen, go Settings
- Under Network & Internet, select WiFi
- Select your Optimum home WiFi network and follow the onscreen instructions
- Try using the Optimum TV app again
Clear Data and Cache
- From the Optimum Stream home screen, go to Settings
- Select Apps
- Select Optimum TV > Clear data
- Try using the Optimum TV app again
Check for updates
- From the Optimum Stream home screen, go to Settings
- Select Device Preferences > About > System update
- Select Check for update and Install any available updates
- Try using the Optimum TV app again
Reboot your device
- From the Optimum Stream home screen, go to Settings
- Select Device Preferences > Reboot
- Once the system restarts, try using the Optimum TV app again
