
Setting up your services is quick and easy with our easy-to-use guide. Once you've arrived at your new address and are ready to begin the setup process, you should be up and running in 20 minutes or less without a technician appointment or fees.
Before your move:
Make sure you have all your equipment
Internet device(s) or Gateway or Modem/Router or Extenders (optional)
Coax cable
Power cord
Ethernet cable
Coax splitter (only if requested)
When you're ready to pack your equipment, we recommend packing everything in a separate box, so all of your equipment is together.
If you have phone and/or TV service make sure to bring those devices with
you as well.

After your move:
It's time to connect
When you're ready to set up, start by clicking the link in the checklist email or text we sent you on your move-in date.
Once you click the link, you'll be taken to the self-setup guide, where you can follow easy, step-by-step instructions

FAQs
On most occasions, you can keep your equipment when moving. If your devices are not compatible with the services at your new location, please return the old equipment and you can chat with us to find out what new equipment is needed.
If you're removing other services during your move, you?ll need to return any related equipment to avoid unreturned equipment fees. For shipping instructions, visit optimum.net/returns.
In most cases, move service transfers through Optimum are free of charge.
Our self-setup app will provide specific on-screen interactive guidance on how to resolve technical issues during the setup process. As you move through the setup process, the process will help ask to make sure all cable connections are "finger tight." That includes the coax cable from the wall to the back of the device. The app will verify all power cords are connected and plugged into a working outlet.

Set up typically takes around 15 - 30 minutes.
Billing will start when you activate your self-setup services on your move-in date, otherwise the billing will start automatically 5 days after your move-in date.
