The Prepaid International Calling Plan is no longer offered after December 11, 2014.
The Optimum Voice prepaid international calling plan (the "Plan") is an optional calling plan that allows you to place direct-dialed calls from your place of business to certain locations outside of the fifty United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and the US Virgin Islands. By choosing to add the Plan to your Optimum Voice or IP Trunking service, you agree to pay for direct-dialed international calls and remote calls based on a per call per minute rate in addition to the monthly flat rate that you currently pay for your Optimum Voice service. Per minute rates vary from country to county. These rates are subject to change from time to time effective with the posting of the new rate on the Company's Web site located at https://www.optimum.net/pages/voice/pre-paid.html. By using the Optimum Voice prepaid international calling plan, you understand and agree that (i) the credit or debit card you provided at the time of enrollment will immediately be debited upon enrollment in the amount you selected at the time of enrollment, (ii) that the fees and charges associated with the international calls you make under the Plan will be debited against this amount when the call is completed, and (iii) that you will need to replenish this balance from time to time in order to make calls under the Plan if the amount remaining on your balance falls below a certain minimum.
The Optimum Voice prepaid international calling plan is subject to the general business terms and conditions set forth in the Agreements for Optimum Voice, IP Trunking and Optimum Online services and the specific terms and conditions governing the Plan as described herein. Terms and conditions may be changed from time to time by posting the new terms and conditions on the Company's Web site.
The Optimum Voice prepaid international calling plan enables you to make direct dial calls from your place of business to locations outside the fifty United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and the US Virgin Islands. In addition, you can make international calls, as well as domestic calls, while away from your place of business, if you are traveling within the fifty United States, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands, by dialing the '800' toll free remote access international calling number and entering your ten (10) digit Optimum Voice telephone number and four (4) digit security code. Please note that when using the remote access feature of the per minute international calling plan, additional charges may apply for calls made from pay phones, or when you place a call from a business or location that has its own telephone system or switchboard, such as a hotel or motel that charges you to use its phone system.
Whether you make international calls from your place of business or remote location, all of your payments must be made via credit or debit account. You may select either the Auto Recharge or Recharge As You Go payment option. You may change your billing option at any time on the Optimum Voice web portal, which may be accessed through business.optimum.net.
Payment Options: You may select either the Auto Recharge or Recharge As You Go payment option.
Auto Recharge: By selecting the Auto Recharge payment option, you authorize Altice to charge your credit or debit account a fixed amount upfront and also authorize the automatic charge to your credit or debit account by a specified amount that you designate when the amount you have available for calls in the Plan falls below a certain minimum.
To set up this option, you must first specify the amount that will be initially charged to your credit or debit account. This amount may be no less than ten dollars ($10.00). Next, you must authorize the amount Altice can automatically charge to your credit or debit account when your Plan account falls below three dollars ($3.00). This amount must be at least five dollars ($5.00) and can be increased in five dollar increments up to fifty dollars ($50.00).
The following is an example of how auto recharge works:
Upon enrollment in the Plan, your credit card is charged $10.00. You designated the minimum recharge amount to be $15.00. Your credit card will be charged $15.00 when your Plan balance falls is three dollars ($3.00) or less.
Recharge As You Go: If you choose the Recharge As You Go option, you authorize Altice to charge your credit or debit account a fixed amount upon enrollment. This amount may be no less than ten dollars ($10.00). When that amount you have available for calls in the Plan is depleted, you will not be able to make any more calls until you recharge your Plan account. When your Plan account balance is two dollars ($2.00) or less, before a call connects you will hear an announcement telling you of your current Plan account balance. If the Plan account balance falls to zero during a call, your call will be disconnected. Once you have depleted the amount charged to your credit or debit account, you will not be able to make additional calls under the Plan until you have replenished your Plan account. To authorize further charging to your credit or debit account, you will have to complete a recharge via the My Optimum Voice web portal or place a separate call to the Optimum Voice Customer care center designating the specific amount you want charged to credit or debit account. You will have to repeat these steps each time your Plan account balance is depleted. If you want to avoid having to take these additional steps in the future, you may select the Auto Charge payment option at any time.
Rates and Charges:
You will be charged against your balance for the minutes you use each month. You will be billed based on the per minute rates for the countries you call with a one (1) minute initial minimum charge for each call and thereafter, at one (1) minute increments. Rates, billing minimums and increments, and the other terms and conditions set forth in herein are subject to change from time to time effective when the Company posts the change on its Web site. You are encouraged to check our Web site from time to time to determine the rates which will be in effect when you place your calls.
If you deactivate or disconnect the Plan, your credit or debit account will be credited for any remaining balance on your account.
- Neither Altice nor any of its service suppliers or vendors (collectively ("Suppliers") warrant that the Optimum Voice Service, including calls placed under the Plan, is completely error free or will operate without service loss or interruption, nor does Altice or any its Suppliers warrant any connection to or any transmission of the calls. Neither Altice nor any of its Suppliers make any representation or warranty express or implied including but not limited to any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or as to the quality of the call.
- Your use of the Plan, indicates that you agree to be responsible for payment of all applicable charges for calls to the credit or debit account you provided, including but not limited to the use or misuse by an unauthorized third party, or any error, accidental use or loss.
- Due to our verification process, all funds may not be available for immediate use.
- In no event will Altice or its Suppliers be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential losses or damages arising in any manner from the use of the Optimum Voice service including calls made under the Plan. You are solely responsible for ensuring that the credit or debit account you supplied is current and activated.
